Hollebeek Residential Care Centre

We are honored to contribute to projects like the Hollebeek care centre, which provide vital services to the community. Our expertise in prefabricated construction, including the insulating timber-frame façade elements and concrete components, was key to efficiently realizing this extensive, boomerang-shaped facility, designed to offer a supportive home for diverse care needs.
Project Overview
The brand-new Hollebeek care centre, developed by GZA Woonzorggroep, is set to become a comprehensive facility catering to older people in Antwerp's Kiel neighbourhood. With a vast surface area of approximately 8,100 m², the centre will feature 117 housing units, a short-term accommodation center with three units, and a daycare center offering 15 accommodation units. Additionally, 60 service flats will be constructed on the same site.
Designed with a distinctive boomerang shape and spanning five floors, the building dedicates its ground floor to communal facilities and essential services such, as a kitchen, a hairdresser’s salon, and spaces for ergotherapy and physiotherapy. The daycare centre, with its own dedicated entrance, will also be located on this level. The four upper floors will each host a residential cluster comprising 30 housing units. For convenience, an underground car park will accommodate 72 cars and 60 bicycles. Structurally, the care centre features a concrete supporting framework complemented by insulating timber-frame façade elements and finished with prefabricated concrete components.
