Meeting the client's crucial 60-working-day deadline was a testament to our expertise in prefabricated timber-frame solutions, chosen for their eco-friendly characteristics and superior thermal insulation.
Project Overview
Faced with a growing number of toddlers and an urgent need for more classroom space, De Kleurdoos Nursery School in Zonhoven took decisive action in 2015. The school, already hosting 314 toddlers across 14 classrooms at the start of the academic year, saw an additional 31 children join after autumn half-term. To meet this demand, the school launched a public procurement tender with one key requirement: complete the expansion within
60 working days.
The solution chosen was a modular, prefabricated timber-frame construction. This method was selected for its speed, energy efficiency, and sustainability. MBS delivered four new classrooms and additional toilet facilities on time and in full compliance with the high-quality standards demanded by both the client and the architect. The new build was designed to blend seamlessly into the school grounds and finished using the same color scheme as the existing buildings.
